Is OpenClaw really free and open source?
Yes. OpenClaw is MIT-licensed open source, built in the open by the OpenClaw Foundation and a huge community. The software costs nothing. PlusAgents charges only for hosting it: our free tier costs $0, and paid plans start at $19/mo for an always-on agent.
Do I need my own AI provider API keys?
No. Every PlusAgents plan includes monthly LLM credits, so your agent works out of the box. If you'd rather bring your own keys, you can plug them in too.
Which chat apps can I use with it?
OpenClaw connects to WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, iMessage, Signal, Microsoft Teams, Matrix, Google Chat and more. Connect one or several: the same agent, same memory, answers everywhere.
Can I move to self-hosting later?
Anytime. OpenClaw is open source, and your data is yours. Export your configuration and conversations, run it on your own hardware, and cancel your plan in one click. No lock-in, we just think you'll prefer not doing the server chores.
Is my agent isolated and private?
Yes. Each deployment runs in its own isolated instance with dedicated resources. Your conversations and files stay in your instance, and you can delete everything whenever you want.
